Proven Performance

A simple precept guides all our new product development at NightCare: Each new product must represent a step forward in sleep performance.

With people probably just like you, we evaluate our new technologies, products and their sleep performance in clinical trials which are independently-conducted.

Here are highlights of several such evaluations of our mattress and pillow technologies improving sleep:

NightCare Mattress Technology—Clinical Trial

A large, single-blinded, in-home sleep study was independently conducted under IRB Title 45 CFR approved Clinical Study Protocol in the Summer and Fall of 2009, in and around the communities of Palo Alto and Stanford in California. Subjects were evaluated sleeping in their own home with their mattress, against the NightCare technology in a NightCare mattress designed to improve sleep quality. Multiple modes of evaluation were used.

The following results were achieved with statistically high significance with the NightCare mattress and technology:

  • Tossing and Turning—17.2% to 34.5% reduction depending on mode of evaluation
  • Awakenings—30.0% reduction in awakenings
  • Stiffness—53.7% reduction in morning stiffness
  • Fatigue—43.2% reduction in fatigue
  • Energy—33.8% increase in energy
  • Pain—57% reduction in pain
  • Next Day's Dysfunction due to Sleepiness—62.5% reduction in next day's dysfunction
  • Sleep Satisfaction (Better night's sleep)—60.4% improvement in sleep satisfaction

Participants reported significantly less pain, stiffness, fatigue, sleepiness, tossing and turning, and awakenings while using the NightCare mattress compared to their current mattresses, and reported significantly more energy and sleep satisfaction while using the NightCare mattress compared to their current mattresses.

Post-study questionnaires of all participants indicated that 93.3% would recommend the NightCare mattress, with 85% giving it their strongest recommendation.
