Healthier Sleep Quality
Maximizing Deep Sleep and Rich Sleep Cycling
High Quality Sleep
The chart below illustrates how we would move through the natural cycles of a good night's sleep—with a high quality of sleep.
- We would progress along the blue line, from the left when we start to sleep, to the right, until next morning—rejuvenated and ready to start a fresh, new day.
Low Quality Sleep
The chart below shows the disruptive effect that sleep interruptions (red lines) have on nature's intended sleep pattern for us (the blue line that nature intended for us):

- When we have interrupted or "light" sleep, we temporarily exit the healing and rejuvenation process until we fall back asleep again.
- Every time we toss, turn or shift position, or awaken due to a pain, snoring of a sleeping partner, or get up to go to the bathroom, the rejuvenation process is temporarily halted.
- Poor quality sleep also triggers changes in our body's chemistry balances and metabolic processes. with adverse impacts on health.
